A major milestone in the journey toward peace, reconciliation, and unity within the Celestial Church of Christ was recorded on Saturday, May 9, 2026, as the Spiritual and Administrative Head of the Church Worldwide, Rev. Pastor Emmanuel Mobiyina Friday Oshoffa, paid a historic visit to Most Superior Evangelist J.D. Nunayon at CCC Rehoboth Family International Cathedral in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The spiritually and emotionally charged visit, which many members described as a divine moment of healing and restoration, drew a massive gathering of Shepherds, Church workers, elders, and faithful from across Oyo State and beyond, all eager to witness what could mark a turning point in the history of the Church.

Rev. Pastor Oshoffa arrived at the Cathedral alongside members of his entourage including his wife, M/C Celine Oshoffa; A/M/S/E Afiz Kiki, V./E S.A Adeniyi, V/S/E Olatosho Oshoffa, A/V/S/E Barthelomy Gouan, A/V/S/E Kayode Ajala, M/S/E Solomon Oshoffa and others; was received with jubilation, songs of praise, and visible excitement from members of the congregation.
Delivering the welcome address, VSE Emmanuel Adewale described Oyo State as one of the spiritual pillars of the Celestial Church of Christ, noting its long-standing contributions to the growth, expansion, and spiritual heritage of the fold.

In a deeply symbolic message that immediately stirred emotions across the gathering, Rev. Pastor Oshoffa declared: “Old things are passed away,” quoting from 2 Corinthians 5:17, as he openly emphasized that past misunderstandings and divisions should now give way to peace, unity, forgiveness, and progress within the Church.
The atmosphere became even more electrifying when the Pastor formally announced that MSE J.D. Nunayon remains the number three-ranking cleric in the hierarchy of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide and has now been officially recognized as the Oyo State Evangelist of the church.

The declarations were greeted with prolonged applause, emotional reactions, and visible relief among members, many of whom saw the moment as a major breakthrough for reconciliation efforts within the Church.
Responding to the Pastor’s remarks, MSE J.D. Nunayon expressed appreciation for the spirit of love, humility, and reconciliation demonstrated by the Pastor.

He urged members of the Church to embrace peace wholeheartedly, stressing that forgiveness, unity, and genuine love must prevail above every disagreement for the Church to fulfill its divine mandate.
