COMPULSORY REGISTRATION INTO CLERGY HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME
Calvary greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Following the report submitted by the C.C.C Welfare Committee concerning the laxity of Shepherds, Leaders, and Church Workers in registering for the Clergy Health Insurance Scheme, it has become necessary to issue this Pastoral Order for immediate compliance.
It has been observed that many clergy men and women are yet to register and are also not encouraging the workers under their supervision to do the same. As we all know, health is wealth, and the welfare of our clergy and church workers remains a priority for the Church.
THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:
- All Shepherds, Leaders, and Church Workers must immediately register for the Clergy Health Insurance Scheme.
- Every Leader shall ensure that all workers under his or her jurisdiction are duly registered without delay.
- The mandatory five percent (5%) contribution to the Clergy Welfare Account must be remitted before the parish income is split into three parts, in accordance with established Church regulations.
- All Regional, Area, District, Zonal, and Parish authorities are directed to ensure strict compliance with this order and to treat this matter with utmost urgency.
Failure to comply with this directive shall be regarded as non-compliance with the welfare and administrative regulations of the Church.
