The President of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele, has charged Christian women to remain steadfast in faith, embrace their God-given strength, solve problems and prepare the next generation to carry on the work of God.
Pastor Oladele gave the charge in his welcome message delivered by the Superintendent of CAC Hanson Region, Pastor Anu Ojo, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, during the opening session of the 82nd Good Women Conference (Ikeji 2) held at the Babalola Memorial International Miracle Camp, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.
Speaking on the theme, “The Bible: A Guide to Virtuous Living by Women Today,” Pastor Anu Ojo, in his delivery of the President’s message, drew inspiration from several women of faith recorded in the Bible, including Sarah, Rahab, Hannah, Esther and Mary, as well as a woman in the early days of the Church who, through faith, received her dead child back after two weeks.
He said the examples of these women demonstrated the importance of godliness, humility, prayer, spiritual power and submissiveness, urging contemporary Christian women to cultivate similar virtues in their walk with God.
Citing Ephesians 6:13, “Having done all, stand,” Pastor Ojo, while delivering the president’s message, conveyed a warning that it is possible for a person to walk with God and labour in ministry for many years and yet fail to stand at the end.
He noted that the devil constantly seeks the mistakes of Christians to use against them and bring them down, stressing the need for believers to guard their faith throughout every stage of life.
“Ensure you keep the faith. You will be tested both when you are young and when you are old,” he said.
The message described the assignment of women as a weighty responsibility, likening women of faith to pillars that hold up a building.
According to the president’s message, as expounded by Pastor Anu Ojo, women are “help meets” and suitable supports who bear significant responsibilities in their families, the Church and society.
He explained that while a woman may not always possess physical or positional power, she possesses strength from God that enables her to carry responsibilities and go the extra mile for her family.
“Strength is a potential from God,” he noted.
He, however, cautioned women against leaving their areas of God-given capability and deviating into pursuits that represent the direct opposite of their divine assignment.
Reinforcing the call to perseverance, Pastor Anu Ojo said the women must continue to stand after doing all that God requires of them.
He cited the impactful contribution of one of the Church’s matriarchs, Late Mrs. O.O.A. Pearce, describing her as an example of a woman of faith. He recalled her refusal to pull down the impact she had made despite being asked to step aside, noting that her life and contribution had become a model of steadfastness.
According to the him, Mrs. Pearce is today recognized as a pioneering leader of leaders, demonstrating the lasting impact that a woman can make through faithfulness and perseverance.
Pastor Anu Ojo also conveyed the CAC President’s charge that women must understand the times and seasons, drawing from the biblical account of the men of Issachar who understood the times and knew what Israel ought to do.
He urged women to become forward-thinking planners and problem-solvers, stressing that those who merely identify problems without taking steps to resolve them would struggle to advance.
“If you are not a problem solver in life, you will not advance in life,” he stated.
He encouraged women to always address challenges promptly rather than leaving them unattended.
According to him, when problems are left unresolved, the Church and society risk allowing the world to influence the lives and values of younger generations.
The message therefore challenged women to begin thinking about succession and the next generation, asking them to consider who would receive the “baton” of responsibility from them when their own race was over.
Pastor Anu Ojo further urged the women to maintain a consistent desire to observe, learn and grow, emphasizing the need to “look consistently in order to see more.”
He also stressed the importance of earning the trust of people through godly character, integrity and responsible living.
On the role and positions of women in the CAC, Pastor Anu Ojo, acknowledged that although the Church may not currently ordain women as pastors, women serving in various units and groups remain significant instruments through whom God performs great works.
He noted that the Church has female ministers, including evangelists and prophetesses, who continue to contribute to the work of God.
He further encouraged women not to allow cultural restrictions to prevent them from initiating positive change in their immediate environments.
“Women may be restricted culturally, but they can attract and initiate change in their immediate environment,” he said.
He added that when women positively influence their surroundings, nations will come to the sweetness of their water fountain.
Pastor Anu Ojo also conveyed the President’s reminder that heaven has great expectations for women and that wherever they find themselves, there is always room to do more and make a greater impact.
He encouraged the women not to regard themselves as unqualified for positions or responsibilities, stressing that every woman can be empowered by the Holy Spirit.
“You might feel you are not fit for certain positions, yet you must know that you are fit for the power of the Holy Ghost. When women possess the power of the Holy Spirit, their influence can extend beyond their immediate environment,” he noted.
The message concluded with an appeal to the women to emulate the character of the women of faith recorded in Scripture.
Pastor Anu Ojo also led the women in fervent prayers, in response to the charge.
