Encomiums flowed freely for a pastor of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr Sunday Adetunji Omoteso, as he launched 22 books at once on Thursday, 13 August, at the hall of the Mountain Top University, Magboro, Ogun State.
All the people who reviewed and launched the books praised Pastor Omoteso’s efforts and expressed surprise that an individual could single-handedly write 22 books, each at least 200 pages long.
The five reviewers of the books charged the public to see the books, which were written in remembrance of the late wife of the author, Pastor (Mrs.) Adeyinka Olasumbo Omoteso, as must-read.
One of the book reviewers, Dr Promise Adiele of the Mountain Top University, averred that to be spiritual does not mean that one should not work, as he charged that, “Christians should not get into shady deals to make a living.” He reviewed four of the books: Healthy Family Today; Practical Christianity in the Market Place; Be Strong in the Lord, and I shall not die but live.
Another reviewer, Dr. (Mrs.) Beatrice Oreoluwa, who also reviewed four books, declared that power without integrity is nothing, as she described integrity as doing things right and noting that faith believes that God can do all things. She noted that the language of the author is simple to understand.
Pastor Oreoluwa, also of MTU, reviewed: In the Name of Jesus; It is written; The Power of Integrity and The Power of Trusting God.
Professor Daramola of the Redeemed Christian Church of God reviewed three of the 22 books: Making the Impossible Possible; Biblical Revelations from God and Faith that Works. According to him, “For Pastor Sunday Omoteso to have commissioned 22 books at one point, it is a world-unbeatable record, which should enter the Guinness World Record.
“The books are books that everyone should read, because they are educative materials, which talk about everyday life experiences, both as Christians and in the secular world. As writing of books always portrays the spirits of the author, one can read Omoteso through the books,” the reviewers said.
Another book reviewer, Pastor (Dr.) Adekusibe Adedeji observed that the book, The Power of Praise, emphasises that praise should not be limited to times of victory but should be a daily activity, adding that the book is easy to read. On the book, Living as a Christian in a World of Compromise, Adekusibe said the 251-page book is to guide and encourage believers in the structure of life. “As a child of God, we can stand for Christ without compromising our faith,” he declared.
The fifth reviewer, Dr Olabode Daniel, who also reviewed three of Omoteso’s books: Ministry Lessons for Today’s Ministers; Power of Discipline and Understanding the Purpose of Time, lamented that a lot of people just waste quality time on frivolities. Noting that the books are simple to understand, rich in prophetic prayer points and quotable quotes and filled with the author’s experiences. He further declared the books as culturally applicable to everyone and have great exegesis of the bible.
According to the author, Pastor (Dr.) Sunday Omoteso, “The legacy of my mentor, Dr Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, inspired me to write the books. Every believer needs the books to preach and live our earthly journey right.
He disclosed that the purpose of his writing the 22 books is to educate and transform, and not a substitute for the Bible, but to guide and to expound on the Bible.
Dr Olukoya was ably represented by the Assistant General Overseer in charge of the African countries, Pastor Lawrence Olaseinde, who launched the books, in company with several senior pastors within and outside the MFM fold.
