US Delays Vance’s Pakistan Trip As Iran Remains Silent On Talks

A planned trip by US Vice President JD Vance to Pakistan for a second round of talks connected to Iran has been postponed, a US official with direct knowledge confirmed on Tuesday.

The decision follows a lack of response from Tehran to proposals put forward by Washington.

Iran, however, said it has yet to determine whether it will return to the negotiating table with the United States, signaling continued uncertainty over the diplomatic process.

The pause in plans comes as a two-week truce involving Iran is due to expire on Wednesday. With no clear commitments from either side, it remains uncertain what the next phase of engagement—or potential escalation—could look like.
