HEROES OF FAITH IN CELESTIAL CHURCH OF CHRIST: MOST SUPERIOR EVANGELIST MOSES OLUWOLE AJAO @ 85

Honour should be given to whom honour is due. So says the scriptures in Romans 13:7.

It is also a timeless principle of respect and recognition, as it encourages us to acknowledge people for their character, contributions, or position.

Today, we acknowledge and celebrate Most Superior Evangelist Moses Oluwole Ajao, International Headquarters Representative, Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, who recently turned 85.

We give honour to whom it is due by presenting his citation below:

MOSES OLUWOLE AJAO

Most Superior Evangelist Moses Oluwole Ajao was born on 7th July 1941 into the Family of Pa. Emmanuel Okanlawon and Madam Emily Ajao of Omikunle’s Compound, Itutaba, neighbourhood to Baba Akinloye’s house, Oje, Ibadan, Oyo State.

He began his primary school education at St. James Primary School, Olanla, Ibadan from where he proceeded to Anglican Secondary Modern School, Agbirigidi, Akinyele Local Government Area, Ibadan,Oyo State, where he obtained a Modern 3 school leaving certificate.

He later trained and worked as a Mechanical Engineer at the UTC Motors Ibadan.

In September 1964, during an open air revival organized by C.C.C Yemetu Parish in Ibadan, the only Celestial Church of Christ parish in the then South Western area outside Lagos,Nigeria, Baba Moses Ajao joined the church.

As God would have it, he was divinely called into the vineyard and started his missionary journey in C.C.C in the great year 1968. This happened when an altar was laid at Ilare street, Ile-Ife, currently in Osun State.

To the glory of God, the then small parish has grown very big and it’s what is popularly known to be C.C.C Moore Cathedral, Ile-Ife Hqtrs. Although he only spent six months there as a Shepherd before being transferred.

Most Superior Evangelist Moses Oluwole Ajao has been in the vineyard for over 53years and through the grace of God, he has worked full-time as a priest in over 20 parishes in C.C.C across ten States.

These include:

1. C.C.C Moore Cathedral, Ile-Ife (1968)
2. C.C.C Obalende, Ijebu Ode (1968-1971).
   It was from C.C.C Obalende that C.C.C Molipa parish and C.C.C Ijagun were established.
3. C.C.C Agunloye Parish (Jan. 21, 1971 -1974).
   The first C.C.C Parish in Akure at Arakale street, Ondo Road, Akure.
4. C.C.C Wire Road Parish, Benin City, Edo State (1974-1978), which is now the mother parish for the whole Edo State.
5. C.C.C Orita Bashorun Parish, Ibadan (1978)
   C.C.C Sapele Parish 1, Delta State (1978 -1980)
6. C. C.C Jos 1, Zaria Road, as the first District Evangelist (1980 -1982)
7. C.C.C Ewekoro Parish (1982-1983) as a District Evangelist. Through him,God changed the name of the Parish from Ewekoro to Ewedun Parish.
8. C.C.C Ogbomosho Parish 1, Ikoyi Road, Odo Oru, Ogbomoso (1983 -1985)
9. C.C.C Iloro Parish, Ile Ife (1985 -1986)
10. C.C.C Ilesha Cathedral as Ijesha Land Area Evangelist (1986-1987)
11. C.C.C Ijagun Parish, Ijebu-Ode as the District Evangelist for the whole Ijebu land (1987-1992). The second time in Ijebu land.
12. C.C.C Jos 1, as the State Evangelist (1992 -1995)
13. C.C.C Premier Cathedral, Okitipupa, Ondo State as a District Evangelist to oversee all Ikale land (1995 -1999)
14. C.C.C Ikorodu 1, Lagos, Deputy District Evangelist from where he rose to District Evangelist, District Supervisor and Lagos State Area 3 Evangelist (1999 -2004)
15. C.C.C Kaduna Parish (2004-2006) as the first Diocesean Evangelist for the Northern Region.
16. C.C.C Int’l Hqtrs, Ketu (2006 -2007)
17. C.C.C National Headquarters, Makoko (2007-2013)
18. C.C.C Agidingbi Cathedral, as Provincial Head and later as General Superintendent Lagos State Area 1 (2013 – 2018)

In July 2018, Rev. E.M.F. Oshoffa recalled Baba Ajao to the Pastoral Office at C.C.C World Hqtrs., Imeko, to work with him directly as Pastor’s Representative and he was promoted to the rank of Asst. Most Superior Evangelist.

On July 7th 2018, Baba Moses Oluwole Ajao celebrated 50 years as a Shepherd in the Celestial Church of Christ and also his 77th birthday.

In July 2020, Baba Ajao was promoted to the rank of Most Superior Evangelist, as an International Representative in C.C.C, making him the 4th most senior member in the hierarchy of the Celestial Church of Christ WW.

Let it be on record that Most Superior Evangelist Moses Oluwole Ajao remains the second member of C.C.C Yemetu Arch Diocesan Headquarters, Ibadan, to become a clergy, the first being late Baba Gbeke Adesanya.

Baba Ajao is a Member, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN); Member, Pastor-In-Council (MPIC), Member C.C.C Shepherds Council and Member Clergies Elders Council.
He also has a Doctor of Religious Matter in his qualification. (DRM).

He was privileged to go to Jerusalem on pilgrimage in the year 2012.

Most Superior Evang. Moses Oluwole Ajao is a calm, disciplined, coordinated and loyal Man of God in the Celestial Church of Christ W/w.

Baba Ajao is blessed with a great wife, MC Mabel A. Ajao and beautiful family members, biological and spiritual.

May the Lord grant him more fruitful years in the service of God and to the glory of Jehovah.
