The Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide has officially unveiled “GLORY TO GLORY” (Corin 3:18) as the theme for the 2026 Annual Imeko Convocation, setting the spiritual tone for the Church’s foremost annual gathering scheduled for December.
The theme was unveiled on Sunday, 12th July 2026, by the Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, His Eminence, Rev. Pastor Emmanuel Mobiyina Friday Oshoffa, during a colourful, spiritually uplifting, and suspense-filled ceremony held at the St. S.B.J. Oshoffa Cathedral, Ketu International Headquarters.
The event attracted a distinguished gathering of ministers, shepherds, church leaders, members, and invited guests from across the Celestial fold, all of whom witnessed what has been described as one of the most creative and memorable theme unveiling ceremonies in the history of the Celestial Church of Christ
Building up to the unveiling, the Imeko Convocation Committee took worshippers on a reflective journey through the Convocation themes from 2019 to 2025, highlighting the spiritual milestones and divine direction that have shaped the annual gathering over the years.
In a breathtaking display of symbolism and creativity, the new Convocation theme was ceremoniously ushered into the Cathedral on a beautifully decorated chariot, escorted by seven attendants and seven trumpeters. The spectacular presentation, described by many as heavenly and deeply inspiring, added a unique dimension to the ceremony and marked the first time such grandeur accompanied the unveiling of an Imeko Convocation theme.
While unveiling the theme, His Eminence, Rev. Pastor Emmanuel Mobiyina Friday Oshoffa, called on Celestians across the world to give their full support to the forthcoming Convocation through prayers, active participation, moral encouragement, and financial contributions.
Rev. Pastor Oshoffa emphasized that the success of the annual gathering is a collective responsibility and urged members to prepare spiritually for what promises to be another glorious Convocation.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Chairman of the 2026–2031 Imeko Convocation Committee, Special Sup. Evang. Julius Akinola, welcomed guests and expressed appreciation for the overwhelming support received since the inauguration of the new Committee.
The chairman reaffirmed the Committee’s commitment to delivering a Convocation that reflects excellence, order, spiritual depth, and the rich heritage of the Celestial Church of Christ.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the presentation of a special award of commendation to the immediate past Chairman of the Imeko Convocation Committee, A/S/V/E Adebayo Badekale, in appreciation of his meritorious service, dedication, and invaluable contributions during his tenure.
The unveiling ceremony also featured soul-lifting musical ministrations, moments of thanksgiving, and joyful celebrations as worshippers embraced the newly revealed theme with great excitement and renewed expectation.
With the theme now unveiled, preparations for Imeko Convocation 2026 have formally entered a new phase as the Church looks forward to another season of worship, fellowship, spiritual renewal, and divine encounters under the banner of “GLORY“.
