The funeral rites for the departed Shepherd in Charge of the Celestial Church of Christ, Oluti Parish, Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos, Superior Evangelist Emmanuel Soyemi Coker are hereby announced.
The late Superior Evangelist Emmanuel Soyemi Coker, who was formerly the Chairman of Odeda Local Government in Ogun State, and also a former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly during the tenure of former Ogun State Governor OGD, joined the saints triumphant on Sunday 19th July 2026 at the age of 66, while preparing to attend church service.
The deceased is fondly remembered as a very humble, unassuming and very accessible personality. A gentle and soft-spoken Shepherd whose guidance, corrections, and encouragement left a lasting impact on his flock.

THURSDAY, 20TH AUGUST 2026: Night of Worship and Tributes – 5.00 pm / Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (O.O.P.L) Chapel, the Presidential Boulevard, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
FRIDAY, 21ST AUGUST 2026: Funeral Service – 11.00 am / Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (O.O.P.L) Chapel, the Presidential Boulevard, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
He is survived by wife, children, siblings, and an aged mother.
