It was a moment of spiritual significance and intellectual celebration as the Superintendent of CAC Olushi Districts’ Coordinating Council (DCC), Pastor John Babafemi Olajide, PhD, officially presented two impactful books titled “From Ordinary to Extraordinary (A Compendium to a Fulfilled Life)” and “Bible Introduction (Key Note for Christian workers, church workers and Bible students)”.
The event, held at CAC General Headquarters, Ebute-Elefun, Lagos, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, drew distinguished gathering of dignitaries, including church members, ministers, as well as friends and family of the author.
Delivering the welcome address, the Regional Superintendent of Akinyele Region, Pastor Samuel Adeyemo Adedayo, set the tone for the event with a profound reflection:
“Today is not just a ceremonial gathering, it is a divine moment and intersection of revelation, purpose and destiny. It is a celebration of grace at work in a vessel yielded to God and a testament to the truth that holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”
He described the book “Bible Introduction” as a timely and strategic contribution to the body of Christ, particularly in an era where many desire scriptural knowledge but lack structured guidance.
Referencing 2 Timothy 3:16, he emphasized its role as a compass for believers seeking deeper understanding of God’s word.
He further commended the author’s obedience to divine instruction, noting:
“We commend his obedience to the divine mandate to write for indeed write the vision and make it plain as it was told to Habakkuk. These book are not for decoration, they are tools for transformation. Let us read and teach them and most importantly live by the truths they contain.”
He concluded with a prophetic declaration that the books would reach nations, bringing clarity, strength, and purpose to lives.
In his speech, Pastor Olajide gave insight into the inspiration behind the books, returning all glory to God for His grace and guidance.
He shared a deeply personal account of how a challenge from his daughter, a lawyer, inspired the writing of the first book “From Ordinary to Extraordinary”.
After a spirited exchange and days of research, her remark – questioning his scholarly status without a published book – left a lasting impression that propelled him into action.
Recounting the moment, he narrated how in the middle of the conversation, he said to his daughter, “Did you know I am a scholar?” to which she humorously replied, “Daddy Mi,” meaning “my Dad,” “You call yourself a scholar and you have not written a book.” In response, he insisted, “I have academic papers that qualify me to be a professor,” but she laughed again and remarked, “iyen ko la nba yin so,” meaning “that is not what we are talking about.”
Her words struck him deeply, lingering in his mind and keeping him awake late into the night. It was in that moment of reflection that God instructed him to take up the challenge to write a book based on his personal experiences with the given title.
He however noted,
“This is not an attempt to write my biography but to teach the world lessons I have learnt in specific stages of life. That is, you should not see yourself as ordinary regardless of any situation you find yourself when God has created you to be an extraordinary being. You cannot afford to disappoint God.”
The second book “Bible Introduction” emerged during his teaching engagement at the Bible School, accrediting the platform to the CAC Director of Administration, Pastor Tope Dada.
Assigned to teach Bible Introduction, Pastor Olajide was inspired by the Spirit of God to develop a comprehensive textbook for Christian workers and Bible students.
He clarified its purpose, stating:
“The purpose of this book is not to replace the Bible but to provide a better understanding of the bible as the word of God.”
Reviewing “From Ordinary to Extraordinary”, the Superintendent of Amuwo Odofin DCC, Pastor M. K. Ehinmode, was represented at the event by the Assembly Pastor of CAC FESTAC Cathedral (English Speaking Assembly), Pastor Raphael Adegoke.
In the review, the book was described as a valuable resource structured into three parts and ten chapters, relevant for Christians, youths, leaders, and anyone seeking direction in life.
Its central message emphasizes that every individual is created with purpose and that meaningful living begins with understanding God’s design, reinforcing the truth that God qualifies the called.
The second book was reviewed by the CAC Director of Christian Education, Pastor S. O. Falade, who emphasized its transformative potential, describing it as more than just a book but a practical tool designed to shape lives.
He noted that it is not meant for the shelf but for continuous use, engaging both the hands and the heart of its readers.
Delivering the sermon, the Chairman of CPFN/PFN Bloc, Lagos State, Pastor Samuel Adeosun, spoke on the topic “Let His word dwell in you.”
Drawing from Colossians 3:16, he urged attendees to internalize the Word of God, describing it as a repository of hidden treasures.
He illustrated that divine truths are like treasures behind a door, accessible through keys, one of which, he noted, Pastor Olajide is offering through his books.
A major highlight of the event was the unveiling and blessing of the books by the CAC Director of Administration and one of the spiritual fathers of the day, Pastor Tope Dada.
The occasion also featured the official book launching by designated launchers, alongside active participation from attendees who equally took part in launching the books, marking a collective endorsement of the author’s work.
The books launch event served as a call to purposeful living and deeper biblical understanding.
