The four year tenure of the Pastor-in-Council (2021-2025), Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, expired at the end of February, 2025.
As a result of an ongoing litigation at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos, the Council enjoyed an extended tenure till today, 4th April, 2026 , when His Eminence, Reverend E.M.F Oshoffa , pronounced the DISSOLUTION of the Pastor-in-Council (2021-2025).
In making the pronouncement, Reverend Pastor Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa thanked all members of the Council and commended them for a job well done.
He noted that the service they rendered was not to him personally but to God Almighty, who sees all and keeps a record of all things, whether good or bad.
He further emphasized that Almighty God, would reward each and every one of them according to the works of his or her hand.
His Eminence pointed out that the Council Secretariat has an up-to-date performance record of individual members of the dissolved Pastor in Council. Those who have done well on the score chart shall be recalled to the Council when it is reconstituted, while those who have performed abysmally shall be dropped, and would not be part of the incoming Pastor-in- Council.
That notwithstanding, His Eminence expressed his sincere and profound gratitude to all members of the dissolved Council and wished them successes in their future endeavours.
ADDENDUM:
Speaking after the pronouncement of His Eminence, the Secretary of the dissolved Pastor in Council, AVSE Kayode Ajala, stated that those who would be recalled into the Council when it is reconstituted would receive a letter to that effect from the appropriate quarters.
A letter of acceptance would also be attached.
Returning members would be expected to append their signatures on the acceptance letter and also pay the specified acceptance fee into a designated account.
Only new and returning members who meet these conditions will be inaugurated as members of the reconstituted Pastor in Council on a yet to be announced date.
