One of my favorite things to do when I get up in the morning is to grab a cup of coffee, sit just for a few minutes, and look outside from these large windows in our house. I love sunny days, but sometimes it is so calming to look out the window when it is raining. Especially with the spring rain, I love that it brings so much life after it falls. It reminds me that nicer weather is on the way, and everything will soon be green. There is something about the rain that, when you stop and think about it for a minute, shows how much we can gain from it as a metaphor for our faith. It is a good way to take something complicated and challenging to make sense of and bring it to a place we can understand.
